Error : JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Please help. I have the below error and need a solution. I get the same error for Extman and Docman.
- JFolder::create: Could not create directory
- Warning: Failed to move file!
- JFile: :read: Unable to open file: /hsphere/local/home/johnsmit/winningsafety/tmp/com_extman1.0.0RC3 (1).tar.gz
- Unable to read archive

Hi Darren, check your Joomla folder permissions. The error means that the Joomla installer cannot move the files to their proper place because of permission issues. For more info also see : http://docs.joomla.org/Why_can't_you_install_any_extensions%3F
