Preventing Google from indexing Documents

Hello - Is there a global setting to apply to prevent Google from indexing Docman Documents on a site?

Hello Helen,

There are no global settings for this but you can prevent indexing by using the following:
  1. Menu Item Metadata - In the backend, go to your DOCman menu item to edit it. Under the Metadata tab, you could set Robots to "No index, no follow". You will need to do this for every DOCman menu item.
  2. Robots.txt - Create a Disallow rule in your robots.txt file to prevent robots from accessing the DOCman directories. For more info, please see: https://docs.joomla.org/Robots.txt_file.
Does this help?
