User on frontend creates new folders that produce hidden .htaccess file

Not sure how this is happening but when my users create a new folder using the frontend of Fileman the system also creates an additional hidden file called .htaccess that produces a "forbidden" error. When I manually remove the .htaccess file all is fixed.

I don't believe this happens with files, only folder creation.

Hello James, that is correct. FILEman 3.1 will automatically protect the folders with an htaccess file unless you turn this behavior off in the configuration settings. To change this set the "Enable/disable the folder protection on settings" in the settings to "No".

Does that help you?
