Joomla 3.7.2 status

For me, downgrading to J3.6.5 is not a practical option.

I'm using Docman on some complex sites. Moving backwards would be a pretty complex exercise that would risk losing data.

This appears to be an issue for a number of us.

I've done some searches and found nothing from the Joomla development team on this.

Can you/are you guys pushing this issue with them ?

Is there any timeframe commitment for getting a fix out ?

Thanks,

Dave

Hello Dave,

Joomla is open source software run by a community of volunteers. There are no guarentuees nor time frame commitments made on fixes for issues.

You are receiving the software under the GPL licnese with a complete disclaimer of warrenty and limitation of liability. Open source software comes as is. It's your responsability to properly test the software before using it.

The Joomla team is aware of the issue created in 3.7.1 and is working on fixing it. For more info:

- https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/16089

You can follow the progress on Github if you wish. We are monitoring the tracker and understand this issue is marked as a priority for Joomla 3.7.2.

If downgrading is not an option. I recommend you in future to test a release before upgrading and be more defensive in your upgrade strategy with newer feature releases of Joomla. Bugs happen and there are no guarentuees when they will be fixed or when they will be fixed.
