Api.key generation in DOCMan 3.0.6

Dear all,

after installation of 3.0.6 I noticed that RSFirewall gives the following notification after scanning. I am aware that it probably can cause no harm, but I wanted to let you know anyway.

administrator/components/com_docman/resources/install/.api.key
The file has been modified 2 minuten geleden	Suspicious filename found. Files with a dot in front of them are usually hidden by the operating system.	.api.key

Thanks!

Jeff

Hello Jeff, RSFirewall is a bit over zealous here. This file contains your subscription key. The key is used to ensure you can receive updates (using the Joomla updater) and support from us.

If you update the key is replaced with a new key to prevent abuse. We place it in a hidden file to ensure it cannot be accessed directly.

Does that help you?
