Replace core media manager

Is it possible to have Fileman completely replace Joomla's core media manager?

Hi Thomas, yes that is perfectly possible. FILEman has the exact same features and uses the same settings. It's build to replace it.
To hide the media manager, you can change it's permission settings. Through the media manager configuration. You will also need to unpublish the 'Editor - Image' plugin.
