Improved error messages


One of the feature of docman is to use joomla user group system for access level.

I am using k2 with docman2 using doclink plugin. when i click on doc which i don't have access to, it shows me error as below. is there any way we can show that you are not authorised to view this document etc....?

Error: 405- Action Read Not Allowed

You may not be able to visit this page because of:

  1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
  2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
  3. a mistyped address
  4. you have no access to this page
  5. The requested resource was not found.
  6. An error has occurred while processing your request.

Hi Frederick, the error messages have been improved and in some scenarios we do recdirect the user to the login page. How it works :

1. When a document is private and user is not logged in we throw a hard error.
2. When a document is public but download is restricted through permissions we redirect to login

The first scenario is inline with how Joomla works. If an article is private and you try the link it will also throw a hard error.
